A field of arcs

A blade of grass is a parabolic arc. Computers find points on that arc with De Casteljau’s method: weighted averages, twice. The same control points, copied and leaned, become a field.

A = (1−t)·P0 + t·P1, B = (1−t)·P1 + t·P2, point = (1−t)·A + t·B

One blade

t, the mix along the blade0.45

The accent segment is the first average. The accent dot is the second. Drag t from one end to the other and the dot rides the parabola. Woven lines are every such segment — a parabola made only of straight strokes.
